Those who know me and have read any of my blogs or snicker at my facebook posts, know this is completely out of the "ordinary" for me....
I have a good friend who has landed on the Brain Injury unit at the VA in Tampa. He and his family (ok, mostly his wife) are wonderfully dear. His wife posted on her blog that the unit needs some things. I want to gather as much of these "things" as I can from my wonderfully caring friends and perhaps do a Christmas delivery there either Christmas morning or Christmas Eve. If you can help, please, please contact me.
The men in this unit are recovering from severe injuries. Some in their protection of our freedoms. I, personally, feel a great indebtedness to them for their sacrifice. If these small tokens will help in their recovery, it feels a small thing to give in repayment. This "Wish List" seemed like an "easy" way to try to say thank you!
Forgive my sappiness, it occasionally shows itself, especially this time of year. Again, if you are able to help, please contact me.

Karey, I'm sending you a Christmas check next week and I'll put some extra in for the VA. Good luck and take the kids with you when you distribute the goodies; they'll get a lot out of it.
